In the early days of computing, Sun Microsystems pioneered a catchy tagline - Network is the computer. That is true even today - Network is the deep state.

Network is the computer!

If you look at the “network is the computer” slogan, it is not just a marketing thing. It was really true. What the end user perceives as a computer is a colleciton of many things. A computer by itself is relatively useless. Add in the network, then it becomes powerful. What was true in the 80s is even more true today. A mobile phone without a network is practically useless except as a media player or a camera. A computer without internet is as good as a brick these days.

If you look carefully at the woke leftist ecosystem, this is even more true. A lone “activist” or “intellectual” is of no consequence. Add in the “network”, and you have someone that can do a lot of damage.

Deep state network

If you look at recent revelations of the Trump administration and its DOGE team about USAID, one thing is very clear. Powerful as it is, with billions of dollars at its disposal, it functions very much as a small part of the network, without which it is less powerful.
